Tessenderlo Group today announces some changes in its Group Management Committee and the appointment of a new Group Communication Director. Group Management Committee Changes Since 2010, Tessenderlo Group has been implementing its ambitious strategy to transform the company into a specialty player in the area of food, agriculture, water management and valorizing bio-residuals. Major steps were taken in 2011, a year with an excellent performance as disclosed on February 16th . To further accelerate the growth potential, there will be some changes in the current management. As of April 1st 2012, Jan Vandendriessche, currently Director Business Group Organic Specialties will become Chief GrowthOfficer for the Group. In his new role, he will focus on creating additional value through innovation and uncovering growth opportunities in the different businesses. His current responsibilities will be transferred to Pol Deturck, currently Director Business Group Chemicals, who will add the Akiolis and Gelatins businesses to his present portfolio of responsibilities. Following the guiding principles of Corporate Governance, Tessenderlo Group has also decided to have a dual reporting line for the function of Director Risk Management, Internal Control and Internal Audit. Eddy Vandenbriele, who currently holds this position, will continue to report to the CEO for Risk Management and Internal Control. For Internal Audit, he will report directly to the Audit Committee to guarantee full autonomy and independency. In this role, Ingvild is responsible for supporting the Group Management Committee to set the communications strategy. She brings to the company a wealth of communications experience ranging from working with global blue-chip companies in both financial and corporate communications matters. Ingvild worked most recently as Corporate Communications Director at Carrefour Belgium. She started her career as a financial communications consultant in London and Amsterdam. In 2003 she moved back to Belgium and joined Belgacom, first as Vice-President Investor Relations and then took over the role of Vice-President Corporate Communications.
