As Dannemora Mineral AB nears the start of operations in the second quarter of this year, the Company has signed a full-service contract with ABB, which gives ABB full responsibility for process plant maintenance. The agreement, which has an estimated contract value of SEK 55 million, spans five years and includes a renewal option for another five years. "Well-functioning maintenance activities are crucial to the high standards we have for our production in Dannemora," says Kjell Klippmark, CEO of Dannemora Magnetite AB. "ABB has presented a comprehensive concept that will optimise operational reliability and maximise plant performance. We are really looking forward to this cooperation." In total, eleven ABB employees will be based at the newly established service unit in Dannemora. A number of specialist functions will also be linked to the operations there.
